Description Dibutyl phthalate, also known as dibutyl phthalate or dibutyl phthalate, is a colorless tran***rent oily liquid, specific gravity 1.045 (21 C), boiling point 340 C, insoluble in water, low water solubility and volatility, but soluble in ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene and other organic solvents can also be soluble with most hydrocarbons. Dibutyl phthalate (DBP), dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) are the three most common plasticizers, which are commonly used in plastics, synthetic rubber and artificial leather. It is prepared by heating esterification of phthalic anhydride and n-butanol.

Application This product is plasticizer. It has strong dissolving power to many kinds of resins. It is mainly used for PVC processing, which can be attributed to good softness of products. Because of its relatively low cost and good processability, it is widely used in China, which is almost the same as DOP. However, the extraction of volatile and water is relatively large, so the durability of products is poor, and its use should be gradually restricted. This product is excellent plasticizing and strong gel ability of nitrocellulose. For nitrocellulose coating, it has good softening effect. Stability, flexibility, adhesiveness and water repellency are all excellent. In addition, it can be used as plasticizer of polyvinyl acetate, alkyd resin, ethyl cellulose and chloroprene rubber, paint, adhesive, artificial leather, printing ink, safety glass, celluloid, dye, insecticide, perfume solvent, fabric lubricant, etc. |
